Member Spotlight: Clara C.

My fitness background:

Honestly - NONE. I've tried gyms before, but I am not good at following my own idea of "what" and "how" to workout. In other words, I need one-on-one guidance and encouragement. I have also tried DVDs at home. They work for a short time, but then I get bored repeating the same routines. Space and lack of equipment has also been limiting as to what I can do. I love the feeling of "wanting" and looking forward to working out (which has never happened before) and that is exactly how I feel now at Crossfit 630.

How I came about CrossFit 630:

Ha! I'd known about Crossfit 630 for about 7 months and I even tried a class at a different gym. At that time, It didn't "click" for me, but things happen at the right time and for the right reasons, and I found myself at CrossFit 630.

It was earlier on 2015 (the year of a milestone birthday) that I really began to reflect on how inactive and probably unhealthy I was. The need to do something good for myself got to me up of my sofa... and once again I decided to get a closer look at Crossfit 630. This time, I signed up for the orientation class, took the the two-week trial and 4 months later, here I am -- loving it! Why? Simple:

1) I feel strong and empowered.

2) It's challenging, exciting and new every day!

3) I have professional instruction, guidance and one-on-one feedback at all times.

4) People around me are fantastic, authentic and super supportive.

5) It's one of the reasons I want to wake up every morning to recharge and renew.

I can keep on going... But I know brevity is better...

Clara has been an amazing addition to our community. She epitomizes what CrossFit is all about and makes everyone around her better. She gave it a try, which can be intimidating, but once she did, she's absolutley flourished. It been amazing to see her physical changes, but more importantly, her mental confidence changes have been inspiring. Clara is why we choose to coach.

Keep up the great work Clara and I look forward to seeing what 2016 has in store for you.
